The corporate media, a tool of the billionaire class that serves to prop up their two-party system, is trying to silence our growing socialist movement — but we're not going to let them. Read more below and sign our petition demanding that Joe be included in the WBZ U.S. Senate debate scheduled for October 13!
Joe Tache is a community organizer and youth worker based in Roxbury who is running for U.S. Senate in Massachusetts with the Party for Socialism and Liberation. He is running on a platform that says, in the richest country in the world, the people should have the power to use our resources to meet our needs, not line the pockets of billionaires. Our independent socialist campaign:
- Was the first to achieve ballot status with our 100% volunteer effort collecting 20,000 signatures in two weeks and no paid canvassers
- Is polling at 9%, including 32% among independents!
There is no doubt that the people of Massachusetts are sick and tired of the status quo. And that has the billionaire class and their lackeys nervous. We've seen this before: Joe was going to make history as the first third party socialist candidate in a televised debate. But Boston 25 and GBH cancelled suddenly and without explanation, denying the people of MA their right to hear from the candidates.
Then, WBZ announced a debate between candidates for U.S. Senate in Massachusetts scheduled for Oct. 13, and excluded our campaign. We have reached out by phone and email numerous times, only to be met with radio silence. We will not stand back and let this violation of democracy go unchallenged.
Sign our petition demanding that Jon Keller and WBZ include Joe in the Oct. 13 debate! You can also let them know what you think over Twitter and Instagram, @wbz and @kelleratlarge.
The corporate media can't silence the movement! In struggle,
Joe
